Grimsby Fire Station No. 2 / Grimsby Regional Training Centre

This new volunteer station and Training Facility is located in Grimsby’s south environs on top of the Niagara Escarpment. The station’s administrative component includes two 1350 ft2 Training rooms (accommodating 58 persons each) which can be subdivided into 4 smaller rooms with a commercial kitchen to provide meals to the attendees. In addition, a 1,500 sq. ft. Fire Prevention Lab offers hands-on training with demonstration of live prevention systems (sprinklers, fire alarm panels etc.) and common fire sources (commercial kitchen components etc.). A separate 4-storey pre-engineered Fire-Training Tower facilitates training elsewhere on the site. The main building also accommodates: 3-double depth drive-through Truck Bays, a 54 locker Bunker Gear Room, an Association Lounge with kitchenette, showers and change-rooms, The administrative and Training portions of the building were designed to FADS accessibility standards.
