Boys and Girls Club of Niagara

This new 40,000 sq. ft. facility replaced an aging but well-used facility in the downtown core, serving primarily children as well as community user groups of all ages. The building features a 6-lane competition pool with barrier-free access ramp and aqua aerobics instruction area, a full-size gymnasium with sprung wood floors, a multi-purpose Teen Centre with Sound Editing and Recording Rooms, a Daycare for 32 Toddlers, a Computer Room, a Craft Room, a large Activity Room/Breakfast Hall with adjacent two instructional spaces, a light-duty Commercial Kitchen, a Mezzanine Lounge and various multi-purpose spaces. An administrative wing anchors the main entry, providing a convenient means for monitoring guests and internal activities. Site features include large parking lots on both sides of the facility proximate to side entries into each of the building wings, as well as a broad bus staging and drop-off area at the front of the facility delivering children directly to a sidewalk leading to the front entry.
